Andrea Scherer is a Kansas City native who began her bartending career at family restaurants while attending college. While working on her biology degree at Park University, she thought she would have a career studying wildlife or doing something in the health field. After graduating however, she found like many others in the industry, that bartending was too fun and rewarding to give up. She worked at several high-volume venues throughout Kansas City, eventually developing a deep interest in spirits and craft cocktails. She can currently be found behind the bar at the Brasserie in the Westin Crown Center hotel helping to create fun, seasonal cocktail menus.
