Carlos Tejeda was born in Guanajuato, Mexico. His love of cooking developed at an early age as he experienced the flavorful dishes his mother cooked for their family meals. His love affair with cooking continues to evolve and is heavily influenced by the food and culture of his beloved Guanajuato.
Chef Carlos Tejeda graduated from the culinary arts program at Johnson County Community College in 2016. He is the proud owner and Executive Chef of Chava’s Catering and Special Events. Chef Carlos is currently employed at Hallbrook Country Club where he works under the tutelage of Chef Justin. This is Chef Carlos second year of participating in Comida and he is very excited about bringing the flavors of Guanajuato to this year’s event.
