Berto’s career began some 23 years ago in the family’s restaurant in New Jersey.Today Berto runs the award winning bar at Extra Virgin and Michael Smith. He has been featured in numerous books and publications and is also the co-founder of the Kansas City Chapter of the United States Bartenders’ Guild and Managing Partner of the Paris of the Plains Cocktail Festival.  Berto’s other endeavors include event coordination at Cocktail events and festivals around the country and is also Kansas City’s Whiskey Guardian for Angel’s Envy Port Finished Bourbon.
